QPM’s Six Sigma Onsite Training Programs are tailored to the specific needs of our clients. Our training approach is unique in that it allows for flexibility while maintaining the integrity of the principles being taught. Our model is based on utilizing expert Six Sigma Black Belts and Master Black Belts to facilitate training in a mixture of classroom, workshop, and one-on-one settings. We believe that training should coincide with real time application of the Six Sigma tools and techniques being taught. Therefore, we have developed what we feel is a best in class method of teaching the principles of Six Sigma as they are being applied by the organization’s resources so learning and application efficiency is increased.

We can deliver an established Six Sigma training program or develop a customized program independently based on the organization’s desired objectives, business strategy, or resource availability.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt – This course is designed to teach Six Sigma fundamentals and its application. It is intended for full time improvement team project leaders. Participants are trained and tested on their underst anding and ability to apply the tools and techniques of all elements of the Six Sigma methodology. Training also includes advanced statistics, project management, and change management. The course is 3 weeks or 15 days in duration and utilizes a combination of process improvement simulation, case studies, and application of tools to real project work to facilitate learning of principles and completion of project deliverables. It is delivered in a “learn and apply” approach. Participants attend the training week and then in the subsequent 4-5 weeks before the next training week, apply tools with coaching to meet their project deliverables.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt – This course is designed to teach Six Sigma fundamentals and its application. It is intended for improvement project part-time project leaders or team members. Participants are trained and tested on their underst anding and ability to apply the tools and techniques of the primary elements of the Six Sigma methodology. The course is 2 weeks or 10 days in duration and utilizes a combination of process improvement simulation, case studies, and application of tools to real project work to facilitate learning of principles and completion of project deliverables. Participants will either be associated with a project as a team member or a part-time team leader and will bring a narrowly scoped project to the training environment.
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt – This course is designed to teach general awareness of Six Sigma concepts. It is intended for improvement project team members, subject matter experts, and project sponsors/champions. Participants are trained and tested on their underst anding and ability to apply the basic tools and techniques of the Six Sigma methodology. The course is 2 or 3 days in duration and utilizes a combination of process improvement simulation, real work examples, and case studies to facilitate learning of the principles. It is encouraged that participants bring a narrowly scoped project/project idea to class related to a problem within their function/process. This will facilitate learning by bringing “real-world” application to the Six Sigma training environment.
  • Six Sigma Executive Level Champions – This course is designed to teach general awareness of Six Sigma concepts and deployment strategy development. It is intended for executive leadership and improvement team project sponsors/champions. Participants are trained on general tools and techniques of Six Sigma, deployment strategy development, communication planning, project sponsoring and mentoring, and project and resource selection. The course is 2 days in duration and utilizes a combination of process improvement simulation, real work examples, and case studies to facilitate learning of principles.
  • Six Sigma Awareness – This course is designed to teach general awareness of Six Sigma concepts. It is intended for an organization’s workforce. Participants are trained on general principles of Six Sigma. The course is ½ to 2 days in duration and utilizes a combination of process improvement simulation and case studies to facilitate learning of principles.
  • Process Management - Process Management is a disciplined methodology used to help an organization develop aframework and system that will facilitate process performance assessment, process improvement and process design activity that ultimately drives the fulfillment of strategic business goals. Our Process Management courses are intended for process improvement team leaders, and process owners and managers. Participants are trained and tested on their understanding and ability to apply Process Management tools and techniques. The course length varies in duration depending on the current Six Sigma process improvement knowledge base of participants. The course is delivered in a “learn and apply” approach through the use of group exercises and case studies.
